Painting Service with your deck
Decks are an investment and you will need to
protect that investment by keeping them maintained. Decks can take a
lot of abuse. Constant use and exposure to the elements can cause you
deck to loose its appearance. To ensure years of enjoyment with your
deck take time each year for an inspection and some simple preventative
maintenance. Most finishes protecting your deck do not last forever, so
plan on cleaning and resealing every few years. The worst thing you can
do is not maintain your decks finish. Neglected decks can become dry,
cracked and will splinter easily, and even rot.
Refinishing a deck will normally take about 2
days to complete the project.
If your deck is relatively new or in fairly good condition then a good
cleaning and renewal is most likely all that will be needed. However if
you have an old deck or if it has been neglected for a long time, it
could take a bit more work.

One simple test to see what may be needed is
the water test. Simply sprinkle some water on the deck and observe what
happens to the water over a few minutes.
If the water beads up and does not penetrate the surface, you may not
have to do any cleaning or sealing at this time. If the water soaks into
the wood, you are ready for either a good renewing or refinishing.
